My Anti Aging Skin Care Review - Save Money With These 3 Tips

In my anti aging skin care review of dozens of products, I've discovered three crucial things that separate an effective anti aging skin care system from those that don't measure up.

It's taken me over a decade to acquire this knowledge. Like you, I'd been noticing the unmistakable signs of my advancing age: an ever-increasing number of wrinkles, skin sagging around my neck (and other places), cellulite on my legs (yuck), bags under my eyes that seem to keep getting heavier. I could go on, but I don't think I need to--we all deal with these things.

I drank lots of water, followed a healthy diet, and tried to exercise regularly, but while those steps helped, they didn't seem to be enough. I didn't want to go the cosmetic surgery route. I knew there had to be good anti aging skin care products available that would really help to rejuvenate my skin.

I finally found them. And in the process, here's what I learned from my anti aging skin care review.

1) A good anti aging skin care system does not use fragrances.

Most fragrances are actually chemicals. If you have sensitive skin, like I do, a lot of these fragrances can irritate your skin.

I also learned that many common fragrances can even impact your central nervous system, influencing your moods--and not in a good way. Who would have thought that merely putting on a cream that smells good can actually make you irritable because of the questionable ingredients it contains?

In my anti aging skin care review research, I found a few skin care products that are 100% fragrance-free. I've been using them ever since.

2) An anti aging skin care system should be clinically proven to work.

Popular skin care brands usually try to convince us of the efficacy of their products by having glamorous Hollywood actresses claim Product X is responsible for their ageless beauty. But how about less hype, and more scientifically verifiable evidence?

My research led me to an anti aging product that has been clinically proven to increase skin elasticity by 42% over an 18 day period. Greater skin elasticity equals fewer wrinkles, and smoother, more youthful looking skin.

Look for skin care products backed up by facts--not Hollywood hype.

3) An anti aging skin care system should use a high concentration of active ingredients.

While conducting my anti aging skin care review, I found that many of the well-known cosmetic brands that I'd been using for years contained only scant amounts of active ingredients.

These active ingredients are important--the more included in a skin care product, the greater its potency. But a lot of skin care treatments use mostly synthetic waxes and fillers, substances that have no impact whatsoever in rejuvenating your skin.

I recommend using only products that have an active ingredients composition of at least 50%. Admittedly, that's a high percentage, but such anti aging skin care systems do exist.

Things to consider are: No. 1 - The ingredients. Are you allergic to any of the listed ingredients? What is your natural skin tone?

Maybe some home TV program may have lured you in causing you to think that you were getting a high quality product. I ordered one too, just so that I could write this anti-aging skin care review.

I watched as the number of orders go up, I shook my head in frustration. There is no way for any one to know what this highly advertised anti aging skin care system contains. You cannot read the list of ingredients. There is no way to tell if there is any clinical research to support their claims.

However, since I wanted to write this anti aging skin care review, I got out my credit card and ordered the product. It was a “collagen kit”. Because, I’ve done my research, I know that most any anti aging skin care system claims to include collagen. And, since I know a little bit more about it than the average guy, I know that the fibers are usually derived form bovines, or cow hide.

Because my assignment was to provide an anti aging skin care review for this product, I ordered it anyway, at a cost of $78. You might think of me as a guinea pig. Better me, than you.

I received my anti aging skin care system in the mail and I opened it with trepidation. Finally, I could read the ingredients. The first ingredient that I noticed was paraffin wax. It was in the eye treatment and the lip "plumper".

Any product that contains paraffin wax will feel like chap-stick. If you put it around your eyes at night, you will wake up with blurred vision and sometimes itchy watering eyes. That’s because, as you sleep, you rub your eyes, subconsciously. So far, I have all zeros for my anti-aging skin care review and I haven’t even tried it yet. I just know a little more than the average consumer, so I'm not looking forward to the negative results.

I tried the eye cream in the anti aging skin care system, because I wanted to do a complete review.

As I suspected it felt greasy, sticky and heavy. It ended up in my eyes over night and I awoke with irritated, swollen eyes.

So, I tried the lip "plumper" in the anti aging skin care system. I might just have well have bought a tube of Chap Stick and saved the money. But since I was writing an anti aging skin care review, I had to make the effort. As with Chap Stick, your lips feel better initially, because the wax heals and protects them from further injury. But, if you use something like this on a regular basis, it will eventually strip away all of the natural oils that your lips contain and they will be dryer than ever.

If you are a parent with adolescents or teenagers in the house, you need to understand and also be aware of skin care for your kids and what better way than to impart to them the simplest method of face washing as basic skin care for your teens.

Surprised? Actually it is by understanding the fact that as children enter adolescence, they still have sensitive skin that requires delicate and constant care for them to have healthy skin.

Many parents usually worry over the prospect of their teenagers having problems with acne or oily skin, however, it is best to know how to deal with each possible skin problem teenagers are likely to encounter.

Probably one of the most common factor that leads to parents worrying over their children's skin problems is knowing that as teenagers, they are already independent of washing and bathing themselves, wherein parents no longer have the idea of how their kids go about their skin care routines.

Are they simply using water to wash their faces? Or probably using your facial skin toners or cleansers or use bar soaps to wash their faces?

These things need to be carefully considered and corrected since this could lead to more harm than good if the incorrect method is not corrected right away.

Out of the three mentioned routines earlier, washing the face with water is the safest process of all, while the remaining two could prove harmful to your teenager.

Do remember that since adolescent skin is still sensitive, the appearance of acne does not conclusively indicate that your child’s face is really dirty, but is just a result of their skin’s sensitivity.

Also, adult facial cleansing formulas could also be too harsh for their sensitive skin and should also be avoided.

Using acne removal treatments could only lead to aggravating the problem or even do more damage to your child’s skin regeneration process.

Essentially, skin or face washing habits for adolescents should be limited to once a day since anything in excess of that can be damaging to their skin.

Parents, and teenagers as well, must be aware that adolescents should only be using gentle cleansers on their skin, for which the best choices are those made of natural or water based cleansers and cream-based cleansers that not only cleans but moisturizes skin as well.

Face cleansing should ideally be done once a day, as mentioned earlier, unless your teens are active in after - school sport or outdoor activities, where intense sweating or exposure to dust and grime are part of the activity.

Also avoid letting your kids use body lotion on their faces, if they feel that their skin needs moisturizing, since the skin from the neck up is more sensitive and requires delicate attention, most especially since majority of body lotions available in the market contain certain ingredients that can cause reactions on facial skin.

It is a rare fact for teenagers to worry about moisturizing their skin, but if the skin starts to become extra dry, a gentle water-based moisturizer would do.

You can ask a dermatologist or a licensed skin care expert for products that can be helpful for skin teenager's skin conditions.

In a nutshell, skin care for adolescents should just be more of simply clearing the dirt or grime from the topmost layer of the skin and to ensure good skin care habits, like face washing as basic skin care for teens, is by instilling in them the responsibility and awareness of what needs to be done and what should not.

Don't buy anti aging natural skin care products, until you get some education. The best anti aging skin care products are safe and contain nothing harmful, but the ones that you see in the department stores and on TV are simply not the best. They're not even very good.

Most anti aging natural skin care products rely on advertising, fine print and the consumer's lack of knowledge to sell their products. That's why they are always coming out with something new and improved.

They cannot rely on their effectiveness and reputation. Manufacturers of the best anti aging skin care rely heavily on research and development, so that they can be sure to have high quality ingredients that will keep their customers coming back for more.

Regulations concerning advertising and marketing, as well as labeling, are lax, to say the least. A company can say that it provides anti aging natural skin care products and still include harmful chemical preservatives and cheap components that actually do more harm than good.

Paraffin wax and petrolatum for example are common ingredients in the so-called best anti aging skin care systems. Bovine collagen is also used as well. Many people are allergic to these compounds.

Paraffin wax, petrolatum and other petroleum or mineral oil derivatives clog the pores and destroy the healthy pH balance naturally found in the skin's layers. One company that claims to offer the best anti aging natural skin care for around the eyes uses paraffin wax. When used at night, it irritates the eyes, disturbs sleep and you end up looking worse in the morning than you did the night before.

Another, of the so-called anti aging natural skin care products contains a compound that was recently classified as possibly carcinogenic. A compound may be naturally occurring and still be unsafe.

The best anti aging skin care system combines dietary, lifestyle factors and nourishing supplements that we know are safe, because we eat them every day. Unless, of course you happen to be allergic to food stuff like avocados, you should be perfectly safe.

When we talk about dietary factors, we just want you to eat right. A complete guide to eating healthy would take a book to write. Lifestyle factors have mostly to do with the sun. Proper nourishment applies to both and there are special anti aging natural skin care products that provide specific nourishment applied directly.

The best anti-aging skin care creams contain antioxidants, including wakame, co-enzyme Q10 and vitamin E. They have to be manufactured correctly or the body cannot use them.

H EQ10 is a specially formulated combination of naturally occurring vitamin E or alpha-tocopherol and Coenzyme Q10 that has been shown in clinical studies to penetrate deeply through many of the skin's layers. Only the best anti aging skin care products contain these antioxidants in the right form and the right content to be effective.

This is by no means everything that you need to know before you go shopping for anti aging natural skin care products. It's just enough to get you pointed in the right direction.
